Acceptance and Commitment Therapy integrates Relational Frame Theory and the six processes of the Hexaflex into a contextual behavioural intervention model.

Rather than attempting to reduce internal experiences directly, ACT seeks to expand flexibility. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and values-guided action, individuals learn to relate differently to thoughts and emotions while moving toward meaningful living.

ACT operationalizes psychological flexibility in clinical practice.
